BELMONT...
The home of sailing on Lake Macquarie
Belmont is known as the “Home of Sailing on Lake Macquarie”; this is visibly evident with the flotilla of boats that occupy the bay along with the two major sailing clubs that attract both local and visiting sailors.
Belmont is envied for its unique position on Lake Macquarie; on one side is the lake and the many facilities and attractions it has to offer and on the other side, there are endless stretches of pristine safe surf beaches.
The area also offers residents and visitors; walking /cycling paths, lagoon and bush reserves to explore native flora and fauna. Belmont is a popular picnic area with large open areas of parkland that provide BBQ’s and public amenities.
“Belmont is a special place, with amazing community spirit. Belmont people support each other.”
(Susanne Price – President of Belmont Chamber of Commerce).
