Belmonts Current and Future Developments
The Belmont area over the last couple of years has seen a resurgence of new development.

Current Developments
- BELMONT CENTRAL - A new Mirvac Shopping Centre has been developed on the former Belmont Bowling Club site and opened in December 2008. - BELMONT BOWLING CLUB - The new Belmont Bowling Club opened in December 2008, offering new bowling greens, club area, restaurant and separate parking. The Club has been redeveloped on the top floor of the shopping centre.
- ALDI SUPERMARKET - An Aldi supermarket is now open on the Pacific Highway.
Recent Developments
- BELMONT HOSPITAL - A recent $31 million upgrade and expansion
- The DECK - Is a recently completed multi level development that houses luxury residential apartments and a ground floor restaurant opposite the lake.
- The PINNACLE - On the Pacific Highway, is another recently completed development. The Pinnacle is a multi level building offering quality residential apartments and ground floor retail space.
- MCDONALD’S - A new McDonald’s complex was completed earlier in 2008 on the Pacific Highway.
Future Developments
In the future, under Lake Macquarie City Council’s new Local Environment Plan (LEP), the development of mixed commercial / apartment and unit development will be encouraged between the Pacific Highway and lake foreshore. Focus will also be on developing and expanding medical services and encouraging bulky goods outlets.
